Vice President for Enrollment
Susquehanna University seeks a bold and talented vice president for enrollment to lead a comprehensive enrollment program that incorporates best practices in admissions and financial aid and consistently and reliably achieves annual new student enrollment goals.
The vice president for enrollment reports to the president, serves as a member of the president's senior leadership team, and is the university's strategy and policy leader on all matters related to enrollment. A high level of collaboration along with exceptional listening and communication skills are expected. The vice president provides vision, inspiration, and strong leadership to a staff of more than 20 team members that includes experienced leaders of both admissions and financial aid. The vice president will also provide leadership, vision, and inspiration to faculty, coaches, staff, and alumni who are eager to support efforts to achieve annual enrollment goals.
Candidates should have experience in a developing a successful enrollment program that has grown and shaped undergraduate enrollment. Important areas of expertise include knowledge of sophisticated direct mail and communication programs; new market development strategies; the use of the web and social media in recruitment; and predictive modeling, financial aid leveraging, the effective use of enrollment software, and a proven ability to recruit students of color and international students. Candidates should also have experience collaborating with other campus stakeholders in developing and executing a strategic student enrollment plan.
In addition to the required record of success, preferred candidates will use data and information effectively for planning and decision-making; exhibit creativity and innovation in strategy formulation and problem-solving; possess the confidence and maturity needed to mentor, coach, and direct a talented, experienced staff; and come prepared to meet the high expectations of colleagues and co-workers at a university where enrollment is a top priority. A master's degree or higher is preferred. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience and ability.
