Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Susquehanna University community commemorates the legacy of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. annually in a weeklong celebration including a Winter Convocation, a day of service and a Chapel service which is open to the public.

The MLK committee is chaired by Armenta Hinton, Ph.D., Associate Director, Center for Diversity and Social Justice and International Student Services, and is comprised of dedicated faculty and staff who work tirelessly to embed the message of Dr. King’s legacy in our everyday lives and create a space of remembrance and celebration.

Our MLK celebrations remind all students that they have the power to make the world a better place, one hour and one day at a time.
