Susquehanna University’s Sigmund Weis School of Business has been ranked No. 3 for academic experience by news outlet Poets&Quants, marking the university’s first appearance on the prestigious national list.
This top-three position places Susquehanna alongside the nation’s most respected business schools, including those at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Virginia and the University of Southern California.
The Sigmund Weis School of Business ranks No. 56 overall among undergraduate business schools in the United States and also places within the top 100 for both career outcomes and admissions.
This is the 10th year Poets&Quants has ranked undergraduate business programs. From the start, the organization’s goal was to build a ranking that reflected what actually matters to students: how selective a program is, what students experience once they arrive and what outcomes they achieve after graduation.
Metrics measured for the 2026 ranking are: admission standards (33.3%), which include acceptance rate, six-year graduation rate, average high school GPA and average SAT/ACT; career outcomes (33.3%), which include percent of job-seeking students who secured full-time employment within 90 days of graduation and average total first year-compensation; and academic experience (33.3%), which is drawn from alumni surveys conducted between October 2025 and January 2026.
Susquehanna University’s Sigmund Weis School of Business is accredited by AACSB International — a distinction earned by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide and is widely is recognized globally by leading employers as a mark of excellence.
“This honor speaks to the intentional, life-changing experiences we provide our students, with every step of their journey designed to connect classroom learning with real-world application,” said Matt Rousu, dean of Susquehanna’s Sigmund Weis School of Business. “Our students are applying what they learn in meaningful ways, guided by faculty, alumni and industry professionals who are invested in their success. It’s rewarding to see that experience recognized on a national level.”
Students in Susquehanna’s business school complete a structured, four-year experience designed to build real-world skills from day 1 — beginning with a first-year immersive course featuring market research and team presentations to business leaders and culminating in a senior capstone project focused on real-world case analysis.
Along the way, students are paired with industry mentors, earn Bloomberg certification and are guaranteed the opportunity to complete an international internship. Nearly all Sigmund Weis School of Business students graduate in four years and secure employment within six months, with many receiving job offers before graduation.
The recognition marks a significant milestone in the university’s continued rise in national visibility, building on its recent entry into the top 100 Best National Liberal Arts Colleges rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
“This recognition reinforces Susquehanna’s growing national reputation for delivering an education defined by strong outcomes,” said Jonathan Green, university president. “It reflects our focus on preparing students to succeed, adapt and lead in their professions.”
