University Marketing & Communications (MarComm) provides strategic counsel to help university partners meet their objectives while ensuring Susquehanna’s brand is presented in clear, consistent and compelling manners. Our services include the following areas of expertise:
Strategic external & internal communications
The MarComm team engages with core audiences through authentic storytelling and captivating content across traditional and evolving communications channels. We oversee day-to-day communications and publications that support the brand externally and help guide internal communications for the university through various digital platforms.
MarComm holds primary responsibility for managing the university’s brand assets. Refer to the brand guide as a tool to help lift Susquehanna’s identity.
News & media relations
Proactively engaging with local, regional and national news media outlets, MarComm shares university stories that authentically portray the student experience; creative, scholarly and research endeavors by faculty; and the outcomes of a Susquehanna University education. Social media engagement
MarComm manages the university’s social media presence on a variety of platforms. We collaborate with departments university-wide to provide guidance on best practices for effectively managing institutionally affiliated social media accounts.
Website strategy & content management
We maintain Susquehanna’s web identity and oversee continual improvement of the website through centralized content management. Committed to a digital-first approach, we focus on user-experience design, accessibility and analytics-driven optimization.
Photography & video
MarComm works with a cohort of trusted, professional photographers and our in-house videographer to curate images and footage and produce dynamic content that authentically captures and elevates the Susquehanna experience.
Wayfinding, signage & servicescaping
In partnership with Facilities Management, MarComm provides wayfinding tools and signage to improve visitor experiences and administers servicescaping efforts to create to create visually continuity for interior design of spaces.
Trademark & licensing
MarComm reviews all proposed designs for items that carry a reference to Susquehanna University. “Susquehanna®” for university educational services and “Susquehanna River Hawks®” are federally registered trademarks with exclusive rights for specific goods and services.
