The 2016-17 academic year marks the 10th anniversary of the Landmark Conference. Susquehanna has been a member of the athletics conference—for 20 of its 23 sports—since its inception.
In addition to being a founding member, Susquehanna had a direct hand in the creation of the conference logo. Former men’s lacrosse player Tim Storck ’08 created the logo that was ultimately chosen by the presidents of the founding Landmark schools, and it has remained the conference’s logo ever since.
Since the Landmark’s first year of athletic competition, SU has achieved a number of major successes. In total, Susquehanna has brought home 24 Landmark Conference championships, including two in 2015-16 and three in one day on May 5, 2013.
To mark the anniversary, the Landmark Conference is unveiling the top three highlights from each sponsored sport and will profile Landmark Conference alumni. Former Susquehanna men’s lacrosse All-American Marcus Cheatham ’13 will be SU’s profiled alumnus.
