Susquehanna University was accepted to the College Cost Transparency Initiative, a coalition of more than 715 higher education institutions that have voluntarily committed to follow a shared set of principles and standards that ensure transparency, clarity and understanding around student financial aid communications.
“We know that a college education is a major investment for families, and they deserve clear guidance and terminology to make informed decisions about their students’ futures,” said Justin Rummel, vice president for enrollment at Susquehanna University. “We’re proud to continue this vital work in partnership with the CCTI, providing students and their families with upfront answers on the cost of college throughout their search process.”
The College Cost Transparency Initiative was founded in 2022 when the leaders of 10 higher education associations — representing college presidents, financial aid offices, and admissions and school counselors — announced the formation of a task force to improve the clarity, accuracy and understanding of student financial aid offers by producing a set of guiding principles and minimal standards to be used when communicating aid offers.
The initiative’s work is sponsored by a grant from Strada Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on strengthening connections between education and employment.
