Today’s verdict confirming that George Floyd was murdered is an important step in our national reckoning with racial injustice and systemic racism, but it is just a step. Let us use this moment to continue our journey toward true justice.
True justice will be achieved when no one feels unsafe in our communities because of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or ability. As an institution committed to anti-racism, we must continue to educate ourselves and each other to make true justice a reality.
