Year in Review: Our Favorite Things from 2018

Our solar array, college rankings, sports championships and a newly named athletic stadium. It’s been quite a year at Susquehanna University. Here are 10 of our favorite stories from this past year.

Ranked No. 6 Nationwide for Baccalaureate Study Abroad

We were ranked among the best in the nation for undergraduate participation in study abroad, according to the Open Doors 2018 annual report on student mobility by the Institute for International Education.


We Are the Champions!

Two of our sports teams finished the Fall 2018 season as Landmark Conference champions, and the football team won its bowl game!


$10 Million Gift and a Newly Named Stadium

We announced a $10 million gift commitment from Lucille Arthur, widow of World War II veteran Douglas Arthur ’49. In recognition of the gift, we named our athletic stadium the Doug Arthur Stadium.


Facebook Study Makes International News

A study on the user value of Facebook co-authored by Matthew Rousu, dean of the Sigmund Weis School of Business, received global media attention.


One of Princeton Review’s Green Colleges

We were named one of the nation’s most environmentally responsible colleges by The Princeton Review.


We Flipped the Switch on Our Solar Array

We officially “flipped the switch” on the largest university-sponsored solar array in Pennsylvania.
