GO Study Abroad
Explore the World & Expand your Perspective
Some of the best learning happens outside of the classroom. Experience new cultures, traditions and adventures through award-winning programs and a university that makes anywhere feel like home.
There’s more to the academic experience than what you can find in books and on blackboards. On average, only one in 10 U.S. college students study abroad, but at Susquehanna, 100% of students complete a cross cultural experience — 95% of them internationally.
Learning by doing isn’t just a phrase for our students, it’s a way of life, especially with our award-winning Global Opportunities (GO) program. Gain a more expansive view of the world, greater self-confidence, new tastes and sounds, genuine friendships, and a fresh perspective on life, all while preparing for a lifetime of personal and professional success.

Go Program Support
With over 70 programs to choose from operating in 35 countries representing almost every continent, there’s sure to be an experience — and support — for every type of student.
Susquehanna faculty and staff lead GO Short experiences, and will help you prepare for your GO Long or GO Your Way program. Additionally, Susquehanna helps students by bringing passport agents to campus, helping with paperwork, arranging passport photos and covering passport fees.
Because GO is already part of the four-year curriculum, the program and relative courses count toward a degree. GO Short and GO Your Way programs during semester breaks easily keep students on track to graduate in four years.

Where Passion Meets Purpose
Straight from the Nest
“Something I have experienced at Susquehanna that I wouldn’t find anywhere else is our Global Opportunities (GO) program. I studied abroad in Maastricht, Netherlands, where I learned so much about their culture and myself. It was the best time of my life. The GO program is my favorite part of being at Susquehanna.”

“My major has prepared me for my future career by providing a much better understanding of human behavior and enhancing my self-awareness. The GO program further developed my cultural sensitivity and personal conscientiousness during my study abroad trip.”
— Eve Morris ’24
“The main reason I chose Susquehanna over other schools I was considering was the International GO Program. I’ve always wanted to study abroad, and it was something I knew that if it wasn’t required, I probably wouldn’t have done. So, going to Susquehanna and being required to study abroad was amazing. I went on the GO Short to London and forever will hold those memories tight.”
— Hailey Bowden ’26
“One of the experiences I think is special at Susquehanna is our study abroad trip through the Global Opportunities (GO) program. I spent an entire semester in London, where I had my international internship and traveled to 11 different countries. I got really close with some of my friends and learned amazing real-world experiences with my internship and with learning how to travel.”
— Sarah Bower ’25
“I spent 10 weeks in Singapore during summer 2023, working at a marketing firm and immersing myself in Southeast Asian culture. That fall, I lived in Spain, took university classes, stayed with a host family, played basketball, and traveled around Europe. I truly made the most of the experience.”
— Julius Glover ’25
“As a Spanish major, I spent a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which was my main reason for choosing Susquehanna. I lived with a 76-year-old host in her apartment and had dinner with her every night. I learned how the language varies across regions and got used to Argentina’s unique accent. I also experienced city life and traveled throughout the country. It was an unforgettable experience.”
