Student Engagement
Empowering Students through Sustainability
Our campus serves as a living laboratory for hands-on learning in environmental sustainability.
Students can get involved through our Sustainability Working Groups and various sustainability focused organizations including Animal Club, Beekeeping, GEO Club and Outdoor Rec.
The university aims to boost student engagement with sustainability through various initiatives, including Green Resident Assistant positions, a first-year engagement plan and customizable projects for student clubs. These efforts also include semester-long projects for students in areas like energy efficiency, waste reduction, sustainable dining, recycling and more. Past projects include recycling program audits, energy efficient mini-fridge use on campus and sustainable food fairs. These efforts, along with the relaunch of the student sustainability service scholar program, will provide students with diverse opportunities to engage with and lead in sustainability efforts on campus.
