Applying to Creative Writing

Application to our creative writing major requires the submission of a portfolio, which will be reviewed by the faculty of the Writers Institute — the hub for all things creative writing-related at Susquehanna University.

Applying to Graphic Design & Studio Art

We use graphic design & studio art portfolios to determine whether or not potential students are a good fit for our program and ready to tackle college-level art and design classes.

Applying to Music

Candidates for music majors must be admitted to Susquehanna University before scheduling an audition for entrance to the music program. Once an offer of admission is received, students will be prompted to register for an audition.

Applicants for theatre BFA programs are required to submit a portfolio or perform an audition to garner admission into the respective programs.

Test Optional & Exam Credit Opportunities

Because we use a holistic review process, we offer you the opportunity to apply without submitting your SAT or ACT scores.

We award class exemptions and/or college credit for those who take the AP, CLEP or IB tests.
