Susquehanna University’s Sigmund Weis School of Business has been reaccredited by the international Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

AACSB accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than 5 percent of the world’s business schools. Today, there are 762 business schools in 52 countries and territories that have earned the distinction.

“We are very proud of our AACSB accreditation,” said Marsha Kelliher, dean of the Sigmund Weis School. “For students and their future employers, this should inspire confidence in knowing that students who graduate from Susquehanna’s Sigmund Weis School of Business have received the very best in education.”

Susquehanna offers undergraduate majors in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, global management, luxury brand marketing and management, and marketing.

Susquehanna is one of 64 business schools that AACSB announced have maintained their accreditation. Achieving accreditation is a process of rigorous internal review, engagement with an AACSB-assigned mentor and peer review. During this multi-year continuous improvement review process, schools focus on developing and implementing a plan to align with AACSB’s accreditation standards. These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; students, faculty and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.

Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degrees in business and accounting.
